Description
Gerda Wegner was a 19th-century Danish illustrator and painter known for her fashion illustrations and paintings that pushed the boundaries of gender and love for the time. In the early 1920’s she produced ‘Three Young Women in Hats’ a highly stylised painting of three glamorous women accompanied by a small dog. The painting also demonstrates how Wegner was influenced by the developing Art Deco movement.
