Beautifully executed, ‘Icare’ (Icarus) is an original linocut print by French poet and artist André Verdet printed by Imprimerie Arnéra in 1972. The printmaking studio, run by master printmaker Hidalgo Arnéra, was based in the small town of Vallauris in the French Riviera. Famed for collaborating with Pablo Picasso and other notable artists, Imprimerie Arnéra was unrivalled in its expertise of the linocut medium.\\u0026nbsp; \\u0026nbsp; \\u0026nbsp;\\u0026nbsp;\\u003cbr\\u003e\\u003cbr\\u003eAndré Verdet was encouraged by his friend Picasso to work with Arnéra to create a body of prints.
