‘Museum Security’ is part of a series of visually rich canvases that Jean-Michel Basquiat produced in 1983. The canvas has been filled with an abundance of images and phrases which represent music, popular culture, history and anatomy- subjects most often found in Basquiat’s body of work. The rendered vocabulary and painterly drips also create a sense of urgency and intimacy which may reflect Basquiat’s sudden rise to fame as his art had started to be displayed in art galleries around the world.\\u0026nbsp;
